My take on photojournalism

  Esther Aquino History of Photojournalism Working in Digital Age                 The digital photographic technology or process that I have researched is the Wi-Fi enabled DSLRS. I chose this because there are so many perks to having this specific camera. With this specific camera includes Wi-Fi. In other words, as stated “when you use this camera you are able to transfer photos wirelessly from a digital camera to a Web site or your computer.” So whether you’re inside or out, or dong anything at all, you can simply transfer your pictures from your camera to your computer or even your phone. Another perk about this camera is the fact that it is so convenient. In other words, he has the end to be very darkened while underneath the hand it is seen way lighter, thus causes our eyes to focus more on the hand itself. RULE OF THIRDS      Rontgen uses the rule of thirds here by causing our eyes to focus on the little dark ball on the hand. I would say on the top right corner. He could’ve taken the picture from a different perspective. However having it this way made our eyes look towards the direction with the darken ball spot. CONTRAST      I do believe Rontgen didn’t mean to make it look this way. It was more of how it naturally took its course within the picture itself. He has more of a low contrast within the lights and the darks. Having it this way really puts...

      1.  In this picture includes a big body of water. With trees and bushes. On top of having rocks around. Also a beautiful view of the blue sky and some light shining through the middle.     2. In this photo it is a moment of tranquility, Such soothing and calming vibes. You could tell even if you weren’t here at that time it was taken. Because from just looking at the water you can see how still it is. There no currents whatsoever. It was also very quiet.     3. This picture is a young girl who works in a plastic recycling factory in Dhaka Bangladesh. This image made me realize that there are other people in this world even younger ones who struggle everyday just to have food in their stomachs and a roof over their head.       What is photojournalism? Based on my knowledge and researches I have come across. To me photojournalism is a type of art in which photographers use to capture and report images of real life situations or stories. It’s another way of communicating not just with one individual but thousands, even more. Similar to reporters but instead of reading words and sentences from newspapers. The images speak for themselves. Thus why I respect photojournalists so much and why I believe they play such a huge part of our society today.       As seen on video “War Photographer” stated by James Nactchwey “If an individual assumes the risk of placing himself in the middle of a war in order to communicate to the rest of the world what is happening. He’s trying to negotiate for peace.” In other words, this clearly portrays the fact that photojournalists will do anything and even go to the extreme within their job to capture such live risky moments.
