This is my Truth
I cannot stress this enough, after looking through all of my classmates blog posts. I realized that everyone is pretty much on the same boat. When it comes to truths about photographs, and photojournalists in general. Photojournalists in general has that one thing that differs them from the rest of other regular photos that are being taken. To me when photojournalists take pictures it is more than what you see, but what you feel and the actions you'll take towards that photo. These photos tell a story every time.

For instance with this image taken by Richard Drew during the 9/11. This photo to me had so much emotion behind it, a story. Just by looking at this photo it made me feel as if I was there. The pain I feel, the sorrow in my eyes. The tragic incident that happened to all the people during the 9/11. People getting killed, jumping out of the building like this, leaving them no choice. Besides the story behind this image. The image itself is so truthful, so real. Capturing that moment of this man falling down. You can tell just based on this mans position, he was ready. Just ready to drop it all.

This photo is another example of what a truth image is to me. As you can tell from the image taken from 9/11 and with this photo they are both taken with the objects in motion. Which to makes an image so much more valuable and emotional. In other words, more lively. The motion of people captured in a freeze motion is crazy to me. As if it is happening as we are looking into these photos. With this specific photo the fire escape gave away, it just broke. And as you can see the two girls falling, with their faces so terrified is tragic.
All in all you can really tell whether a photo is fake or real based on how it was taken. Especially with how random people are taking photos today and then editing them on photoshop. For instance with the image below, how they edited certain people and things in it. To me I disagree and do not support those photographers who would edit images like this, because this then just turn into a fake image and it isn't real at this point. For it to be a real and truth image to me, it's those photographers who really capture stories and situations at the right moment knowing what or where and when to capture it, is so important. Because changing the image is basically cheating yourself, while already cheating your images.
